Default What phone specs are you waiting on?

I currently have a Droid X and as you can imagine its not performing well at the moment. I was going to get a Galaxy Nexus when but I just have the feeling that as soon as I do the next generation of Android phones will pore out and I will have extreme buyers remorse. Am I the only person waiting for the next best thing and if not what phone specs are You waiting on?

If you are waiting always you won't get any phone. Its sort of a normal thing to experience to find buyer's remorse everytime you buy a new phone. For example, you buy an S2, then the Sensation XE comes out, and the Razr Maxx, and you just begin to notice the bad things about what you got and the good things they got.

Personally I'm still fine with Galaxy S, even if its single core and all that. I don't really wait for anything. Basically when time to buy comes, I check out the best phones I can afford and check out which is best and just buy them. If you keep on waiting for the better ones coming in the future, you'll never end up buying anything. Just buy the best thing you can buy at the time. Of course you can always time your shopping after MWC so you can see the upcoming new flagships and get those.

Like our friend stated above, if you keep waiting for the dream phone, you will never buy one.

But the one that will fill your expectations up and be happy with it.

I agree. When you need an upgrade, just pick the best option available. It's technology. It will become outdated in a short period of time, regardless of how great it is when you buy it. Buy something you can live with, and if you have buyers remorse, you will always be able to get the new top of the line when your next upgrade rolls around.

Just accept the fact that there will always be a newer phone around the corner after you buy one. You need to just get a phone an enjoy it. When I got my phone over a year ago, it was great. It's still great and does everything I need it to do. Sure there are probably better phones now, but the existence of better phones do not make my phone any less useful or functional.

You know what spec/phone i'm waiting for is the razr maxx with a HD screen like the spectrum. I think Motorola is so close to having a near prefect phone. I guess i'm basically waiting for (hoping for) Motorola's version of the nexus.

I'm not really waiting on anything. Galaxy S is about right at the moment, will probably get something better when the current one wears out or breaks.

I don't really need a larger screen, makes the phone too big. An improved camera would be nice, but is there anything else I should be waiting for?

Same here, the only thing I've done to improve my Galaxy S is to root it and install CyanogenMod, and that didn't cost anything apart from my time. I know it's single CPU, but it seems to be responsive enough and not at all laggy. Would having two or four CPUs really improve anything? I don't play many games apart from maybe Angry Birds and a few card games.

I had a look at a friend's Galaxy S2 the other day, it's got a slightly bigger screen and still has the Samsung software not CM, but apart from that I couldn't see much difference. Think the camera might be better than the S, more megapixels.

Just get the best phone available now.
I've had my desire hd since December 2010 and at the moment I can't see any reason to upgrade when I can this April. It's not lagging one bit. Can still play decent games on it like GTA, sim city etc. It's getting ice cream sandwich too which is a nice surprise. Dual core this and quad core that are just ways for the companies to make you snap up their latest phones. Don't get me wrong, quad cores make it more efficient etc but I don't feel left behind with my phone. It still does its job brilliantly.
