what preparation I have to do when replacing a new MC which storage size is bigger than old ones?

Q:are there any software for this task?

I want to replace the old card by new which have more memory, like 1GB to 16GB

Whenever I've changed, I've just copied the contents of the old memory card to a folder on my PC, then copied the contents of the folder to the new memory card.

It would be easier if you had a card reader, but you should be able to do it by mounting the phone to your PC as an external drive/USB Storage.

that is the point I want to ask, for window OS, there were hidden files, so drag and copy would not be a good way to efficiently copy the whole HDD. but what about this situation is cellphone, as you said, for a general users, what I think is just simply copy all the folder in PC, then paste them in new MC to the same cellphone.

Q:
is it OK? just copy and paste them again when the same cellphone had been inserted the new MC?

will the apps installed in old MC work in New MC after that?
