Shortcut to Samba share
My kids have Archos 101 internet tablets and I've set up shared folders on a spare Windows 7 computer that I'm using as a file server. I've created the shares as hidden shares (ie. kidsname$), set up user accounts and set permissions on the shares for them. I've installed Astro file manager with the SMB plugin and successfully browsed the share but Astro's ability to create shortcuts to folders on the home screen is limited to folders on the device itself, not through the Samba plugin. The file manager that comes with the Archos won't even connect to the shares. I just want to be able to put a shortcut to a Samba share on their tablets!
