Default 1.5 widgets question

For thos who have cupcake, how do u know if an app in the market is a widget. I dont have cupcake yet so those apps would not be listed in the android market for me, but for those who have cupcake, how do u spot a widget in the app store besides the app name or app description. Is there a new section to the market or an icon of some sort indicating its a widget? Im just curious cause I found a cool youtube video of cupcake user created widgets.

I have 1.5 via Rooting and the shop doesn't have a section for Widgets. Which I hope they add. Would be nice.

But the only way I've been able to tell it via the App's name or description.

Yeah, if you read stuff, they usually inform you a widget by telling you the app doesn't launch, etc. etc. Just pay attention as you're scanning the Market and you should be able to tell.

But, that doesn't take away from the fact that they need a Widgets section.

Ahome has done a nice thing ... in their menu you can actually look at and load just themes or just widgets ... At least in 1.5

Well, unfortuantely some of us prefer other Home Alternatives so that is rendered useless to us. We really need it in the Market.

I also wish they'd add a a recommended apps section. Based on votes of course, that way when I reset my phone and I can get a quick view of all the highly recommended apps and do away with searching for them.

Popularity tab is sorted that ... but does say the person likes it ... just that the downloaded it based on recommendation, stars ... nothing is perfect about this ... so we trust each other to give recommendations on what is working for each of individually .... if a program I recommend is to another taste ... then at least it is better than trusting some vote score than can be falsely shewed ...

I suppose, none of it really matters to me as I take the time to find the right program that caters to my needs and my needs only.

I just figured all the people "voting" low scores, wouldn't take the trouble to recommend it if they already had the option to vote for it. So, I figured that only those who truley enjoyed the product would vote and recommend it.

I personnally wait about a month of using a program, before I give it a rating and a fair comment ... If I have issues ... I email the DEV ... and wait a bit ... it no response then I go back and change my rating and comments..

That sounds fair. The only apps I've rated are the apps I've used for a few weeks and have decided that I can't do without them. I don't really rate the apps I rarely use as it's hard to justify if they work os they're meant to work.

I've yet to contact a dev because I'm working on learning how to make applications and I'm going to recreate all these horrible applications and implement new features I've thought up, either that or at least make them functional. Muaha hah ah ah ah.

The odds of that happening are pretty slim as I'm really busy lately, but I'm going to try to succeed!
