Default Tether?

It's it possible to cross platform wireless tether? From like your iPad to Android?

1. go to the sub forum of the android phone you have.

2. read about root/rooting...research and make sure you understand each step.

3. root your device..

4. google "wifi tether for root users" app. it is no longer on the market.
or
you can find a custom ROM that has it built in.

I have rooted all my other phones. This one has to have the bootloader unlocked first and that's where I get stumped.

You don't even need root. I tether to my friend's iPad no problems. Menu>Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile AP>actvate it. My friend connects to my hotspot.

I'm wanting to use my data from my rezound to my iPad. I don't want to pay extra for hotspot that I'd only use occasionally.

1 solution..

htc does unlock and root their new devices...at their website.

trade-off.. it voids your warranty
