Default app to make my phone a hotspot

So the other day I rooted my droid X, verizon is my carrier. What app if any can I use to make my phone a hot spot? I tried to use one that i found on youtube, but it said my carrier had blocked it when I tried to download it. any help would be great thanks.

Have you rooted ur device ?
If yes, there is a app called Wireless tether
This one : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=android.tether&hl=en

It is pretty good

Wireless Tether will not work on my Droid Charge with Gingerbread, but FoxFi does, so you can try that if the other one does not work for you. By the way, you do not have to be rooted to use FoxFi.
