Default Previously Uninstalled Bloatware Attempting to Update

So, I'm worried that the question formulated below may actually be part of the bigger problem of bloatware. I may be biting off more than I can chew to remove it. If this is a rooting issue, I'd rather just suck it up and deal with bloatware (I'm not tech savvy enough).

Nevertheless, I uninstalled some of the bloatware and generally crappy apps (Nascar, Blockbuster, TeleNav GPS, etc.). Annoyingly, Play keeps notifying me to update them. I don't want these apps on my phone, and obviously don't need/want to update them. Any ideas about how to remove the update notifications? If anyone has successfully done this, I'd love to know how.

By the way, it's an EVO 3D on Sprint, if that helps.

I am rooted, froze the apps with Titanium Backup and still get pestered.
If I delete them off the phone entirely, then I don't get nagged to update. I've deleted some entirely off a SGS4G, and have just froze some on a Nexus S

I suggest that you use Google Play for the last time to get AppBrain App Market. It lets you ignore update info for apps you don’t want to hear about.

You can also detach them from the market using Ti. Occasionally they will reattach, e.g. when the market updates (and play store seems to refund them more often), but it does greatly reduce these reminders.

Won't help the OP though as you need root - sorry.

I just ignore. I have all except some paid apps on manual update. I read what they are updating. I have Smart keyboard, and if the update is only to include some oriental script which I don't use, I don't bother with updating.

My question would be - if freezing the app means it won't run as it is not shown as available on the system, how can it be updated?
