The Donut Development Branch is very real if you build using the repo's you will see it without a doubt... and yes, it is supposed to be 2.0. You can get the repo's to make your own builds here : Get source ?(Android Open Source Project)?

I wouldn't set my hopes on getting it soon. Not saying its not true but surely tmobile will postpone it when we get notified its ready.
