My phone won't connect to my home wifi network. I have a 2wire router with a wep password. I have connected to other wifi networks other places, but it just won't work on mine. When I click my network and put in the password, it says "Obtaining IP address" and then "Unsuccessful". Why won't it connect? Is it a problem with my router? Please help me!

Currently on my Desire, I have one of the seven screens showing group contacts (headed Favourites), and there is an image for each of those contacts, and the list is 3x3 people (images).
How do I shown either ONE or TWO (or more??) COLUMNS of contacts? on the same page. ie one list names Favourites (or whatever) and another list named "something else". I appreciate the columns would then only show maybe three contacts prior to scrolling, but I can't find the setting anywhere.. Dohhhh!! :-)

hi.i updated my software to version 2.1 2 days ago,restored my contacts from my back but the contacts will not sync with facebook[e.g peoples facebook profile photos would show against the contact info] whereas on version1.5 it did.am i doing something wrong????

even more probs.the phone has dumped all my contacts!!!!!!!!!tried reinstalling 5 times.it sometimes shows the contacts then next time you look they're gone for good!!!!!!!

i just got the t mobile my touch 3g from one of my friends and it was registerd to him so i reset it and i turned it back on and went though the set up but i forgot that i dont have internet on my plan so i cant log in to gmail i have internet at my house but i use cricket is there any way to enable wifi using a cricket modem so that i can get back to using my phone plz help : (

I have lost access to some of my music. The MP3 downloads still play, one CD I downloaded from my laptop using windows music player is still playing. The ones that are not playing are educational CD's. I can see them in the file but they won't play I get an error code and it says that it does not support them. Is this just a problem with the update I used do you think? I have tried several other music players that are available and none of them will play those files.

I installed 2.2 and im missing some of the new features. I got some but not all. my benchmark is 3 sec instead of .15 sec. I dont have the unlock screen that froyo has that is a slide across. I dont have the jit manager as an app or widget. It just doesnt look that much different and doesnt have the quick three buttons on the bottom of the home screen, its still set up like the older version and the main skin looks the same. I can pinch in and out of windows though, thats really cool.

So here is the deal I used to be able to "preview" rtf attachments using the gmail app but now it brings these attachments up in file editor and it's all in "code". I recently rooted and flashed "Ultimate Droid Extreme 6.0.0", any ideas on how I can keep the ROM and be able to preview the files. I installed "OffiViewer" whitch is getting the job done but the regular preview in the gmail app was insatant and OffiViewer takes alittle time. Any thoughts?

I have a question on a certain product that is coming out a micro usb to hdmi, that will allow phone users to play video on their TV's from their phones. I've read in my other post that I have going it isn't for Motorola Droid phones ? That would be a major bummer .I just found my favorite app on here and would love to view this app on my TV instead of the phone.It would make it so much better to watch the NFL to go super fan app .Any ideas any one ? Lately my phone's screen timeout has been setting itself to 15 seconds off. I use lockbot to lock screen when not using phone. In menu/settings/display I have screen timeout set to never turn off. In Quick Settings App I have it set to the same thing and in Easy Profiles App I have it set to never turn off. But no matter what I do, I always have to go to quick settings and reset the screen timeout to never time out when i want to use my phone. I have uninstalled lockbot, still does the same thing. I have tried lock 2.0 and same thing. I have pulled the battery. I don't know what else to do. Please help

My 3G seems to be disconnected, I can't use any internet. Airplane mode is not on, everything else seems normal. Yesterday the little 3G icon just disappeared from my phone and it hasn't returned. Any idea what this could be? A phone issue or something with Verizon?

Chinese apps wont delete. i use a Program called apk to delete apps but this just deletes apps i have downloaded from android market. not apps pre installed on system.

can i up date android from 1.5 to better version.

• Battery Monitor dosent Acknowledge the Seidio Extended life battery it will go down to 5% and keep alerting me that battery life is low but if i turn it off and back on it says full again.

Since the Droid update this past week, my battery has drained completely every night, even after being fully charged and running app killer shortly before sleeping. I did leave the browser open last night when I set it down. I have left many apps open before, and it would never die overnight.
Any thoughts? Have others experienced this too?

Battery usage shows 72%-Voice calls and 16%-Android OS, 5%-Display, 3%-Cell standby, 2%-Android System, 2%-Phone idle.

I recently bought this phone but it was originally a regular tmobile phone until I unlocked it. However an unlock code was never asked, I only searched for a network and found it saying AT&T so I clicked on it and set the connection. Everything works except the internet. Now, my problem is that the phone seems to randomly shut down and won't turn on again unless I take out the battery first. This happens sometimes after being charged overnight, sometimes after just laying on my desk for a while. It happens once every 2-4 days. I'm pretty sure it's not phone or battery related, as my wife just bought a Samsung Ace on Android 2.2.4, which is doing the exact same thing. Both phones were doing it even before any apps were installed, and now that we have installed some apps it doesn't seem to make it worse or better).

Any thoughts?

my problem is not related to a phone model or anything like that but please if u have any idea how to resolve this do tell me. i recorded a video on my s2 and once the storage was full internally i got a message sating it will be moved to the sd and so it did. but the file now is a 4gb of format. vdata which no player would recognize on my phone. did i lose my footage or is there a way to convert it or make android recognize the format again?
