ROM Manager not

I have been trying to load a custom rom using rom manager.
I was having trouble so I decided to purchase the premium version thinking that might fix it since I could download & install the ROM directly from ROM manager. But sadly, still same problem.

So I am trying to load DarkyROM. It downloads correctly. I click install & check off to backup existing ROM. It says Reboot & install. I click OK & it reboots & begins installing. It sayds
Installing package...
Finding Update Package....
Opening Update Package...
Verifying update package...
The in red it says:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Install aborted.

I choose reboot system now & it reboots to my current ROM.
Any ideas....?

It's been said that you shouldn't flash ROMs from rommanager.
I have had no problems downloading, but I flash from clockwork mod recovery.
Also, use a file manager to verify the checksum.

I'd also recommend visiting your device's All Things Root subforum. Root matters are often device-specific, so it's good to be able to ask people who use the same device as you (you don't say what your device is). As an example, ROM Manager has compatibility problems with some devices, so isn't a good solution for everyone.

Having said all that, if you are sure that the download is OK, then boot into recovery, toggle signature verification, and then try to install from recovery and see whether it works. It may just be that the package isn't signed properly.

Before flashing anything you should take a nandroid backup, and also back up any apps or data you wish to transfer to your new ROM (e.g. using Titanium Backup), because you should factory reset the phone before a new ROM will work, and you can't use the nand backup (recovery backup, which is presumably what you told ROM Manager to do) to restore these to a new ROM because that will replace the ROM as well.

Do you know where Rom manager stores the downloaded rom? I cant find it.
