Question Strange glitch, (multitouch not working?) Helo

Okay, so basically, I didnt download any new apps quite recently, but I did remember this happening right after an update to a app, so this could just simply be a cause of the update, but I'm not entirely dure which. So anywho, my phone's multitouch functionality has been very bad recently, it has basically been treating it as if it no longer works continouslly. To give a bit of a mental image of what I'm dealing with here, I've used the multitouch visual test app to actually see it myself, but here's what happens: I go to play a game on my phone (most of which require multitouch capabillities) and so on one side I have the movement button's (Up, Down, Left, Right, Jump, etc. and on the left I aim around the screen, well the thing is, if my finger is on a button on the left for the movement and I go to aim while at the same time continuing to move, movement stops and it treats my aiming side as if it were the only finger on the screen at the time, I tested this in many different games and apps and all were the same result, me only being able to have a single touch active on the phone at once, and the thing is, it was normally able to handle it and would work multitouch just fine, and the only way I've managed to fix it is to reset the phone and when it reset's my multitouch works... For about 5-10 minutes, then re-restrains itself from working again, it isn't a HUGE problem, but makes playing games nearly impossible and make's trying to zoom in and out of photo's, webpages, etc. A major pain in the butt. Please if anyone has any idea on what it might be or how to fix it, please help. I have a T-Mobile My Touch 4G Slide.

I am making this section after I already posted ^THIS^ but anyway, I stored all my precious data on my SD card and reset to factory default, and again, it worked for only about 5 minute's before my multitouch stopped registering again.

Which apps are you having issues with? Does pinch to zoom work in the gallery and the browser?

It works, but say I hold two fingers at once to zoom in/out, then only remove ONE finger and replace it again, (while never moving the other finger off of the screen) well it then only registers it as a SINGLE finger on screen instead of two, I am not entirely 100% sure what app may have caused it, and I asked my dad who is a bit more advanced in technological topics than me (I'm gettin' there lol) and he says it is most likely some sort of coding error in the latest update for my phone, I don't think that is the case though, but I haven't been able to find any other explanations.

I heard about bugs like that on the Galaxy Nexus so it can be some sort of coding issues. I'm not sure. I'm not that experienced with coding.

Have you looked into custom ROMS for your device?

By custom ROMS do you mean any that I may have installed?

Meaning installing a version of Android customized by a developer from the community like XDA.

It can I'm not going to lie but if you read up on your particular device it might be worthwhile. First thing I would check it's if your device has some sorry of unbricking tool.
Like if something goes wrong you can flash your stock ROM via your computer.

Then I would look into a custom recovery option such as clock work recovery. Those two things should help ease your fears about messing up your phone but I really do recommend reading up on it.

Well, I found out finally that it was simply a hardware issue, I think it may have been when some kid knocked it outta my hands at school, it kinda fell on a hard floor. Anyway I sent in for a replacement phone, thanks though.
