Default Wanting to leave Verizon for prepaid. Suggestions?

I'm not sure how often this is asked, but I'm getting fed up with all of Verizon's changes and would like to leave them behind. Sadly they have the best service in the area I live in. I would like to find an android phone prepaid that will run on the vzw towers but that is also at least comparable to the Droid X that I am slowly using to death. Do you have any suggestions? TIA

You can go to Page Plus or Straight Talk, they both use Verizon towers.

Page Plus offers a bring your own device policy, pretty much any Verizon 3G android/windows/apple phone can be activated simply by calling customer service. 4G LTE phones can be done but there is no 4G service and activation requires a lot of manual programming to the phone with QPST and CDMA workshop, I would advise against that unless you know what you are doing. There are a variety of plans at different price points but data tends to be expensive compared with other prepaid carriers.

Straight Talk is pretty straightforward. You only have a choice of 1 phone and 2 plans. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim and the plan is $45/$60 depending whether you want international calling. The plan offers "unlimited" everything but expect data to be capped or throttled at around 2-4 GB/month.

Thanks for the info! I may have to give it a try when it becomes available!
