Default Cupcake/1.5: Viewing running applications

I thought one of the things coming with the update was the ability to show running applications, as opposed to when one holds the home button which shows recent (and not necessarily running) apps. Is this in the update, and how does one access it?

Thanks.

you can also download task switcher, which wil show currently running apps.

And no, there is nothing in the documentation released about cupcake that shows this was part of the update. Always pays to do your research.

Default You can check running apps.

Actually if you go into the manage apps section in settings, press the menu button and 2 tabs open on the screen. One is sort by size and one says filter. Press the filter and it will then give you options to filter the apps by All, Running, and Third-party. Select the Running option and there you are, all the apps that are currently running on your G1. Hope that helps.

thanks! I was wondering if there was a way to test to see if task switcher was messed up. Seems to be doing some cooky stuff today.
