Default Google: Y u no backup messages to Google account?
just like my contacts are backed up at Google, why cant google introduce the feature to back up the messages, pictures etc to google account, and we wont have to deal with 3rd party apps!

Is it a feature you would want?

Pictures are already backed up using google + (if you turn on instant upload). Unfortunately for SMS you need to use a third party app (I like sms backup and restore).

No. I can email text to myself, and save pics on computer by USB. I'm trying to get my contacts OFF Google. I can save contacts at TMO or SIM. I don't need Google for that.
