hello all
on a verizon phone that is tethered your data plan is still being used. correct? so my question is if I root my phone is that still true or does the data not get correlated to a rooted phone?

Well, even though you have been a member for a long time now, I just want to say welcome, since you have come out of lurkdom.

As far as your question, you will still be using data, even if you are rooted and tethering. Nothing can change the fact that you are using data, no matter how you are using it. Hope this helps

All that rooting does is give you access to hidden files...rooting the phone doesn't effect how it operates
