Default LED Indicator

There's a light on my phone which is described on page 29 of the user manual http://wwwen.zte.com.cn/endata/mobile/UK/UK_Instruction/201111/P020111123355049069362.pdf as an "LED Indicator". It tends to flash quite a lot, sometimes green sometimes red. People ask me why my phone is flashing. I have no idea. The user manual gives no explanation. Anyone able to enlighten me? Can I turn this off?

Normally you can't. Depends on the phone, it could be a breathing light to tell that the phone is on and still working. Usually it changes color when you have a notification, like a message, or a calendar event. You can download Lightflow so you can have more control over it.

Thanks. I've downloaded Lightflow which looks like it should help. The green flashing light has stopped already.

The service that Lightflow provides should be part of the Android system and be accessible under Settings. Don't know why it's not.

Because not all Android phones were designed to have LED indicators. They're just a manufacturer add-on.
