Default hour 1 with the S3

Brand new S3 32gb. Plugged it into the Macbook Air, downloaded (on the phone first then the Mac) Easy Phone Sync.
Launched it on the phone first then the macbook (in that order). Followed the steps to syncing it, got the music on but then I get this error -

It has not been possible to transfer data from the selected backup. If the backup is encrypted then please create a non-encrypted backup using iTunes.

What am I doing wrong? No contacts make it (only the few stored on my SIM from, oh I don't know, 1997?)

What say you Android people? Is the iPhone really just that much simpler to use?

Can't you just copy and paste the files into your phone? Its not that iPhones are easier to use. Its you using iTunes, which does not play well with anything not Apple made.

Oh yeah, download Samsung Kies. I have no idea what easy phone sync is, but Kies is the official Samsung software which can restore from an iTunes backup
