Default Out of storage space

Hi

My LG-P500 is telling me that there is low memory and refuses to handle any texts until I delete apps or associated data. A review of the storage space tells me that there is approximately 20M of ROM left which may not be much but plenty in terms of texts one would have thought.

Any idea what is going on here?

Thanks
John

I would install this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.cache&hl=en

Also make sure all your apps are moved to your SD card with this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&feature=search _result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hMHNvZnQuZ3Bob25 lLmFwcDJzZCJd

If that still doesn't help then you will need to delete some apps. Also if you have a lot of text messages just sitting in your inbox I would try deleting those too. When I had my Nexus One this was a big issue and the only solution (besides rooting) was the above. Good luck.

I had a Nexus One as well and I agree. Only I use the free app 'App 2 SD' to move apps to the SD card AND to clean caches. Two functions in one app.

I already use a cache cleaner and move to SD card - but this seems to make no difference. Thanks.

Then you need to delete some apps that aren't on your SD card.

Hey johnsd
If you have moved all your apps to SD card and cleared the cache memory too and still your device is showing low memory, then you need to uninstall a few apps from your mobile.

Thanks - have been uninstalling apps and updates but eventually it gets back to 20MB and won't receive or send texts. It just seems silly that 20MB is left which is 400 x 50k texts and it goes on strike. I guess it is jut one of those things!!

Thanks for your suggestions.
