Black screen help

Hi

Hope you can help.
I have a Huawei Ascend G300 and the screen went black this morning.
It does turn on but it stays black. The phone works fine because the alarm went off as it should have. The touch screen is also ok.
Any ideas?
Also, how can I do a hard reset if I can't see anything?
