Default What phone should I get?(should I stick with Iphone or get android)

Should I stick with Iphone and get the 4s or get an android. If I stick with Iphone I am going to get the iphone 4s since my Iphone 4 contract ended. Android is good looking and everything but it doesn't have that iphone stuff that I am more used to and I would have to rebuy all my apps and some apps that I use aren't in the android market place. If I were to get an android which phone should I get? I will like an android under $50.

I am thinking bout the samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket or the Sony Xperia Ion but the samsung galaxy s2 resolution sucks even compare to my iphone 4. The sony xperia ion have better resolution but I don't like the looks I am just tired of the iphone look in the front that is the main reason I am having a hard time choosing. I hate the sony xperia back and front. I do like the samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket but it resolution sucks. So any choices? I know the specs of both android devices I list are better than Iphone 4s. I used the sony xperia and eh its okay. Oh yeah I like mozilla better than Safari also.

That is one hell of a ramble....

Don't buy Sony. Ever.

The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD has a resolution of 1280x720. That's pretty impressive and fairly standard. That's 316 PPI. Don't get the original Skyrocket.

Most retailers have the Galaxy S 3 available for under $100 with an upgrade. If you really want to switch to android, do yourself a favor and save up for a month and buy the top end phone. You won't regret it.

Ah I was looking at the normal samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket not HD version. Do you know where I can get the skyrocket HD version in a retailer store? I don't want to buy online. My sis has a Sony xperia Ion. Maybe I might go $100 or $200 but can you tell me where I can get skyrocket HD and not regular? Can you name me some phone good around $50 $100 $150 and $200 no higher than $200 not including taxes please. I know I could get the iphone 5 but I don't want it just it yet. I will probably get it when its price drop. I don't like the s3 looks that much.

The only three phones I would suggest are the Galaxy S 3, HTC One X, and the Galaxy Nexus.

The GS3 is arguably the best phone on the market. In my opinion, it's nearly perfect. If it was a bit more industrial and could take a hit or two, it would be flawless to me. Usually $100 on contract.

The One X has the best screen on the market. Sense > Touchwiz. This is a PENNY on contract with AT&T now.

The Galaxy Nexus is Google's phone. Updates straight from Google (except with Verizon). $50 on contract with most carriers.

The HTC one X seems good but I don't like the back the stupid camera makes it looks stupid just because its rounded big. I don't really like how the s3 looks it kinda looks ugly to me. I wish samsung would of made the galaxy s2 skyrocket HD because that looks much better than the s3, one x, and s2 skyrocket. Looks like I will be getting either HTC one X or the iphone 4s. Now to narrow it down X D. If you could get me more android choices that looks good and is good show me please.I am with AT&T just in case your wondering.

i think.. since you have a budget for under $50 and comparing to the iphone4s.

the iphone 4s is old.. and is only 1 core CPU. but will still cost you $50.

check this out: HTC OneX on AT&T for only a PENNY!!!
Find a penny and head to Amazon Wireless for an AT&T HTC One X [Deals]

this phone will blow the doors off the iphone 4s.. and it comes with 4G LTE and NFC and a whole bunch of other alphabet soup stuff!!! the screen on the OneX is great, many say.
go to ATT store and play with one!..

I have a budget of $200 but I am really only looking for $50 phones or below I could go up if I wanted. But the rest I am trying to save btw Iphone 4s is $99. IOS is fast on the 4s and it has 2 cores a5 chipset.

I'm sorry, but your writing hurts my brain....I'll do my best.

There are only 3 worthwhile Android phones, which I stated above. The mid-range and top end phones are getting closer and closer together, but I still don't recommend anything else. If looking "cool" is the most important thing, maybe staying with the iPhone is what you want. That IS the "coolest" phone out there, after all. Image is everything.

Look up the specs. The 4s is a dual core 800 MHz. it's only fast because there are no widgets or transition animation. it's purely bare bones graphically. Most people don't understand that....

Yes the 4s ia dual core 800 but you said the 4s is a single core which is not which is what I was trying to correct with you. Also Apple a4 chipset has a 1 Ghz single core so the 4s is not that bad. Its pretty good compare to the 4. I know the iphone doesn't have widgets unless of course you jailbreak its still fast like normal.

i stand corrected.. the iphone 4s is not single core.. it is a dual core.

others (who have iphones) have said.. if you add widgets to an iphone 4 (s).. it will start to lag.

from your responses.. and reasons. I am going to lean towards you getting an IPHONE. less of a chance for you to 2nd guess and have post purchase blues.

Well for me it didn't lag but I only had 2 when it was jailbroken(upgraded to IOS 6 and no untethered jailbreak so I am not going to tethered jailbreak it). I want a bigger screen than the Iphone 4s and even iphone 5. Just because the screen is taller doesn't make it bigger. It has to be length X width not just length. I do like my Iphone 4 but sometimes I wish the screen was a little bigger.

I think you're forgetting the HTC EVO 4G LTE. I think its a better phone than the One X. Granted, no matter what we suggest, the OP seems to want a $50 phone not realizing that he'll have outdated technology.

I read all that, however, it appears you want the cheapest device. The older the model, the cheaper the device will be and most likely, will not be upgradeable to the newest software. What is the point of buying a new device (especially if its going to be your main device) if you cannot take advantage of all the current software/technology?

I'm aware that you're with Sprint, but you do not indicate that you would not be interested in switching carriers.

I said I am on AT&T and my sister she got her phone for free at best buy it has 4g LTE and it has Android 4.0.4 which I am guessing is ice cream sandwich. It's the sony xperia Ion which has a 12 MP camera 720x1280 dualcore 1.5Ghz so I am just making sure if I can get a good phone in that price range of $50 if not can you post some other phones.
