Default Best Camera Phone

Hi all,

After your opinions...

I am due an upgrade soon, and as the phone I wanted - Sony Xperia Acro S - isn't coming to the UK I am looking for the best camera available, and would love to hear your thoughts.

So the short list I have at the moment is the Xperia T, Samsung G S 3, or the HTC One X+, but I am happy to consider others.

I have even considered jumping ship and going with the Nokia Lumia 920 (wish they would make an android handset) just because the camera looks so good....

Anyway, thoughts and opinions welcomed

Thanks

The list of smart phones you made is really nice, all are having real good camera. If I have to pick a phone based on camera quality i will prefer HTC One XL and will suggest you the same.

Actually, PureView 808 has a better camera than the Lumia 920.

However among Androids, the ones to look at are the One X, the SIII, the Xperia T and the Note II

I did think about the 808, bit with no network support (in the UK at least) it means you have to pay up-front (@450)

The acro s is being released here stig, it's on the coming soon section on https://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/Sony/Sony-Xperia-Acro-S/13,104840,All,tt0,ct2

some of the sony phones have 12mp cameras on so they might be worth checking out, my One X takes a great picture too and the new One X+ is said to have some improvements to the camera.

Bigger is not better. And it slows down everything. And fills up your card fast!

Besides, nobody will ever make a sharp/focused shot with a camera at arm's length: camera movement. No matter how many megapixels you throw at it.

In the past I've always found sony phones to have excellent cameras although it has been a number of years since the last time I had one, w800 being the last. I mentioned the 12mp as the phone he was after (acro S) was close to that so he obviously knows it has a decent camera in.

I have the galaxy S3 and it is awesome. But I also hear that the lumia is supposed to be pretty good. I don't know anyone with the actual phone though. Just hear say from boards.
