Default Android display bug

Hi All,

I am using Samsung Galaxy SII, model GT-I9100, OS: Android 4.0.3

The screen keeps switching on and off automatically, almost every 15 seconds, without touching the screen nor any buttons. it is annoying bug, and it consumes the battery badly.
I tried to change the settings but not positive results.

There is another bug, which is the lock pattern screen, in some cases it doesn't allow me to complete my pattern, maximum 3 nodes and it removes the marked nodes to start the next one as if it is my first node; to override the problem, I click the side button to switch the screen off, and then click it again to switch it on, the pattern works fine.

Appreciate your help to fix the above problems, mainly the first one.
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Khaled Yusuf
