So my girlfriend bought a Nook Color some time back (against my advice) and the thing was laying around collecting dust.

I was so glad to discover that CyanogenMod 10 was finally available for it. Installing it on the Nook Color turns the device into a full fledged Android tablet a la Nexus 7.

The installation took only 15 minutes, but it made the device useful again. She can now read books on it using the Barnes and Noble app and she can also install all the other apps from the Google Play store.
