HTC One X, Galaxy S3 or even Nexus 4
However, tempted to recommend One X above the others because it has a Tegra 3 processor and Nvidia managed to get a few games with extra features (better graphics mostly) on their Tegra 3 devices

definitely the One X but the One X+ is out very soon and that is even faster with more storage space, there wont be a better phone on the market for gaming when that comes out.

But it's just Tegra 3 again with a clockspeed increase, that's not going to make bugger all difference to how games run or play.
I know, I've overclocked my Nexus 7, CPU and GPU to Tegra T33 speeds and there really isnt any difference, except for benchmarks of course.

It is a slight spec increase but also double the storage so handy if you like downloading loads of games also has a higher capacity battery. Common sense would dictate you get the new model over the old one. It is said to be a lot more efficient with its power than the One X but these are benchmarks so will wait to see it.

Depends on the price, the 64GB will probably be expensive, also availability of 64GB versions of Android phones tends to be non existent in most regions.

The Galaxy SIII can out perform the Tegra 3 devices due to sheer power of its GPU. However, as stated, Tegra 3 devices have exclusive games and features. It's kinda like a PC vs XBox/PS3. A good PC can outperform the consoles, but the consoles have more options for games.

I know, I'm sure I just said tegra 3 has exclusive content. Not that I rate the exclusive content very highly, the exclusive titles are great but the added Tegra 3 content comes at the expense of performance and it's noticable.
My most played games are not Tegra exclusives however that could be because I spent allot more time on my phone than my tablet
I'm not sure your example is true, in fact i'm sure it's not, there are very few exclusive titles for consoles compared to the PC.

Actually, not sure if you people over there in the US notice it, but Japanese game makers have more games for consoles than PC. I live in Asia so I notice it a lot. US game makers usually take PC gamers into account as well. One classic example is the Harvest Moon series (Its got more than 10 titles, latest one released this year I think). Its an awesome casual game but it never was released for PC.
The S3 doesn't outperform the One X, I have both phones in my house and there is very little noticeable difference on both phones in terms of performance and even games that aren't Tegra enhanced look better on the One X.. GTA 3 runs much better on the One X.
The S3 does have a lot more support though and gets some games that the One X doesn't, gameloft stuff etc..

There are just as many exclusives for the PC, probably allot more with indie developers and some big name titles, also online only games which require subscriptions etc, not to mension a massive back catalog of titles.

Interesting considering I find it runs allot better on the S3 than my Nexus 7.

Your nexus 7 has the same processor as my One x, but its powering a 7" screen which is a lot bigger than mine... this will effect the performance so I'm not surprised your phone out performs it.

Screen size won't make any difference, only the screen resolution and both share the screen resolution.
