Hi everyone,
I have my Contacts updated with Facebook profile pictures,
but when i check on the GMail website, no contact has the Facebook photo.
I want to synchronize the pictures from Facebook to the contacts I have on my GMail account.
Do you have any suggestion?

I only got my desire today, but I found I had to go into "people" and then assign the contacts individually to their respective facebook accounts, by tapping the sync symbol and then Facebook. I'm not sure it dares sync automatically, as some people share the same name.

and it would be really nice if, when you touched the Facebook icon from the contact sync, it automatically made suggestions, rather than make you search from scratch.

I'm guessing that the phone merely applies the picture locally on the phone, rather than sync it. I don't think its possible to do at the moment. It would have been nice if HTC put this in though.

I've never seen any thing to that effect. I've only ever seen the Android phones merge the two, but not the websites

been looking for the same thing for ages and just bought a HTC Desire which seems to sync the contact pics with Facebook locally.

After a bit of Googling I found these two solutions...

Why the heck did I just spend the time to join and link these contacts if it can't actually merge and sync them?


Plus, Its not just PICS not synced. I just tried to make a google voice call, but couldn't because its only on my phone!

These two apps just posted are not pulling from all the work I've already done. They don't pull from the data in the phone. It's only pulling from a facebook app. So syncing may not be accurate, just applies to pics(?) and people have blocked apps from pics.... even though they are synced to the phone.

Come on.

This is probably why my android is jumping so much. It has to fetch the data rather than actually syncing it.
