Default Rooting

Hello, I have owned a Apple device for around 5 years, and basically know everything about jailbreaking shsh etc etc... But I just got an Android and i am completely new to Rooting so i wanted to ask a question.
If i root will i have to reactivate it?

Nope. You don't. Rooting just activates admin access to the phone. Also, depending on what you want to do, you may not even need to root the phone. Many of what can be done on a jailbroken iPhone can be done on an unrooted Android, such as installing off-market apps, tethering without a tether plan, replacing of stock apps, etc.

I want to do it mostly for wifi tethering

You can do that without rooting. Use FoxFi.

But why wouldn't you want rooted device also if you can't use foxfi try easy tether on play store they also have a lite free version that still lets you tether. I used it to test the speeds for my service compared to my wifi router and the speeds were damn good tethering. Hope this helps you

You shouldn't have to reactivate it. Worst case scenario, it will be a full factory reset when rooting depending on your phone and the method used to root it.

On another note, you might want to root for only one reason, but you will find so many advantages. I originally rooted just to block ads, but it didn't take me long to find so many other advantages...
