Default Best MP3 Player?

I don't mean an app I can download I mean an actual mp3 player. Android based. What's the best out there? Need to have sd slot so that immediately rules out Sony. All I can find is Cowon? At least of those that have great audio quality.

Anything else I should be looking at?

Samsung, Archos and Creative Labs do Android MP3/MP4 players.

I'd go for the Galaxy Player or cheap unlocked/Prepaid phone. You can basically use any unactivated Android phone as an MP3 player.

Issue with using the phone and Archos is that they don't even come close to the Cowon in terms of audio quality.

The Samsung Player is limited internally to 8GB, though if I could find a 32GB with SDslot I would most likely opt for the Sammy.

I'm not familiar with Cowon's audio quality nor am I an audiophile so I hope I don't sound too stupid.

What makes a Cowon Android device sound better than most? Maybe I can find something similar with that info. Do you mean external speakers?

Their jet audio effects. They are widely regarded as the best sounding mp3 player but their specs are a little behind the times..
