Hello and welcome to the forums wilson

I was going to move your thread into the T-Mobile or even the S2 forums, but this is a pretty general question so i am leaving it here, otherwise, i will look into moving contacts from SIM to a backup.

Now if i can understand the issue better, the device has the contacts on the SIM card right now? If you sync them to the T-Mobile backup or your Google account they should be saved in both places now.

I take it, that you have T-Mobile SIM.
So you could open a T-Mobile account and set the syncing of you contacts.

Not sure about
- if it's for free
- if it's syncing the SIM contacts or just the phone's

Generally, at your phone's contacts app, you'd be able to import your SIM contacts to your Google contacts and then sync them with Google.

At the contact app you are able also to delete the SIM contacts. But this isn't exactly necessary, you'd them disable.
