Still, I was wondering if I changed or messed up something without realizing it. I also had tried to put contacts on the sim card for additional safety but it only went as far as 250.
I have redundant backups through ATT, Kies and Samsung as well - just bothers me when good simpl.e features are changed for no reason.

Yeah but hey, i don't know if you really need any more backups other than Google, just because wherever you sign in on that account your contacts will follow you there. Sorry about the inconvenience.
