Why can I send a text but not receive a text? Vert frustrating when that is your only communication

so what phone do you have? what carrier? it might be an issue with your carrier, where the towers might be down for some reason. have you tried calling your carrier?

First off welcome to the forums

Secondly, sometimes in your settings you can turn off Auto-Retrieve, you might want to see if it is on and you can turn it off, usually it's only for MMS but you might just want to look into it.

Lastly, you might want to see if you have service with your provider when you are trying to retrieve text messages, or see if that person has an issue with their provider because it might not be on your end.
