If paying for something that may or may not work makes you feel better - go ahead.
There are many free security apps in the Play store that I would trust more than something from Verizon and do the same or more.
The list includes:
- AVG
- Avast
- Lookout
- Kaspersky
- etc etc etc
And of course, whether or not you actually need one is up for debate.
