I downloaded the free verizon security app and was wondering if I should upgrade to the $1 a month version. What do you think? To protect my data,lost or stolen phone.

If paying for something that may or may not work makes you feel better - go ahead.

There are many free security apps in the Play store that I would trust more than something from Verizon and do the same or more.

The list includes:
- AVG
- Avast
- Lookout
- Kaspersky
- etc etc etc

And of course, whether or not you actually need one is up for debate.

Well put. I’ve had the same phone for two years, tried hundreds all through Play Store, never used an AV app... nary a problem.
