Default Some apps not auto updating

I am curious why some apps don't auto update? For example the Dolphin browser and BS Player don't auto update. I have a Nexus 7 running JB.

First off make sure you set certain apps to auto update otherwise they won't update by themselves.

Some apps don't offer it i believe as well, but don't quote me on that.

Where can you set an app to auto update? I looked at settings, app and play store and don't see anything.

I found the setting in the Play store by individual app. They are checked to auto update and are not. Right now my N7 is showing Facebook, Flipboard and Yellow Pages need updating and all are set to auto-update.

As far as I know, when apps have changed their permissions they won't auto update.

As Harry stated, Google requires any app that changes permissions since you installed it to be manually updated so that you can accept or decline the new permissions.
