Default Android 2.2 on VirtualBox – run local webpage

I have installed Android 2.2 on Mac OS X 10.68 using VirtualBox, it works fine and connects to the internet.

My question is – how do I test a webpage stored locally on my Mac on the Android guest default browser? It is just html, does not need a php server etc.

I have established a USB port in Virtual Box. If I copy the webpage onto a USB stick, how would I get access to the document from with Android? There does not seem to be any File Manager and there is no Google play App so I don’t seem to be able to download one.

I have no way of knowing what the file path might be?

This would depend entirely on how you setup the network in VirtualBox.

If you upload the page to a WAN (internet) server you could view it by IP or host name.

If you bridged the connector then the VirtualBox should be on your LAN, and if you had a mini web server, like xampp, you could host the page on your machine and view it on the virtual machine.

I also know you can mount media in a VM of Live Android, but the instructions are 'technical' to say the least, and you have to do it every time unless you install to a virtual disk.
