The S4 likely won't be released until ~April/May. Haven't seen a whole lot of rumors for it yet. What is it that you don't like about the S3? It's still a fantastic phone.

I'm willing to bet it will be shown at CES or Mobile World Congress (CES in January, BWC in February). I am interested as well. I would like to grab a Note 2, but am waiting to see if anything is released at either of those events.

There is nothing I do not like but seeing as the S4 is that close I'm tempted to wait for that.

This is also my first foray in Android

Ah yes, the 9500 or the 9505 I saw.

http://www.ibtimes.com/samsung-galaxy-s4-release-date-rumored-april-2013-smartphone-likely-come-s-pen-functionality-thicker

Or any of the many other sites reporting this.

When was the S3 announced and then released??

I doubt this. Samsung has gone the way of making their own announcements for phones (a la Apple ) for the past couple iterations.

But would it be a safe bet it will be around this sort of time?? And released in Apr/May or is that wishful thinking?

That's a good bet. However, it will also depend on the individual carrier to release it. Hopefully it will go as smoothly and timely as the S3 did.

I'm Hoping It'll Be Sooner Rather Than Later, I've Got The S2, But Get Early Upgrade If I Wish And Can Do So On The 24Th February...Although Maybe It'll Be Better To Be Late, As That Is Also My Babies Due DateAnd I Don't Think The Mrs Will Be Happy If I'm Sitting Playing With My New Toy All The Time! Lol.

I still really don't get the appeal of a flexible display. What is it about it that interests you so much?

Don't get too excited about that. The phone itself will still be solid, the only thing the flexible display will bring to the table will being pretty much unbreakable. But it will most likely be plastic and not glass to be unbreakable, but that will probably just make it more prone to scratching. But this is all just guesses and rumors, nothing has been announced, and if it goes anything like with the S3, we wont hear a peep until the official announcement, Samsung did a freak job at stopping leaks on that phone!

I have heard we will get an official announcement at the end of Feb?

How true this is, is another story
