Default Can I change the file system of the phone?

Right now my phone is using "generic hierarchical" file system, which seem to have similar file limit number per folder as the fat32, I wonder if it would be safe to format the internal storage of the phone to NTFS file system?

I may be wrong but I don't think that's possible cause Android os is based off Linux. So I'm pretty sure to have ntfs us have to switch to a windows based phone.
