I got a new phone (Droid Razr Maxx HD) and synced my Facebook friends and Google contacts to get people's numbers and pictures back in my phone. I also started using Handcent for texting again like I had been on my old phone. But, Facebook contacts weren't showing up anymore - from Googling, it looks like that functionality is gone. But, in the Android Text Messaging app the syncing is still working perfectly fine with pictures and phone numbers from Facebook, so it looks like it's possible somehow - is there any way to get Handcent to pull the same information?

As far as i know as of Android 4.0 Facebook contact sync has been removed.

If you download work arounds like Hax Sync than you can still have things like Contact photo sync.

Thanks guys, I'll try the other app too. If sync is disabled, though, how is the Text Messaging app getting not only the Facebook photos but the FB phone numbers too?
