Samsung keyboard not working after root and JB

I updated the wifes phone with a root and the the NEAT JB software. Unfortunately the Samsung Keyboard no longer works except on qwerty. It's the only keyboard she likes and she wont have qwerty. Can anyone stop me getting an ear bashing please?

Have you tried downloading a different QWERTY keyboard like Swift Key? It is pretty awesome and better than the default i think.

There is a free version if you aren't too sure on spending 3$ yet.

Yep, I tried that. But it is a qwerty. The last thing she wants is a qwerty.

You can try GoKeyboard which has the option for T9 keyboard

Thanks mikestony. That is the nearest she has liked. She is going with that. Would still like to know what happened to the original tho.

Well, I'm assuming the NEAT JB software is a rom you flashed? And perhaps the keyboard that came with that, changed.

Yep, that is right. But I did the same operation on mine. Just thought tho. i did not use the Samsung keyboard. i will go look what mine looks like.

Yes, just looked. Mine is the same. The green tick by the Samsung keyboard is half dulled out. Does that mean that she can never get her basic old keyboard back then?

So, just let me verify this here a sec.
Before root--samsung keyboard=happiness.

After root and rom flash--samsung keyboard not the same layout=sadness.

What layout did she like?
Are there settings in the current samsung keyboard to change the layout? Or is qwerty the only layout available now?

Yeah. The Samsung keyboard, the green tick is half dulled. But it will let you use the qwerty only. But she will only use the T9 thing.
