welcome to the forums!!!!!!

a garbage can? you mean like in windows os? if so then no, once deleted the file is gone. if it was on the sd card then are some programs out that you might be able to retrieve any deleted files.

and no there is no defrag on android that i'm aware of. you can get some cache cleaning apps to clear cache which can help in performance.

There's several trash can apps, Dumpster, for example.

You never ever need to defrag. That's a Windows thing. You're using a real OS now.

I don't see how android file system is not getting fragmented over time. I suppose it does unless it is read only, and it's not. Also, FAT file system on memory card (if u use any) gets fragmented over time for sure. So actually there IS some point in defragmenting memory card. You can do it on your PC. Not sure about the internal storage. Perhaps it gets fragmented, but I doubt there's any tools which can defrag it
Some file managers put removed files in some kind of recycle bin. For example, AFAIR, FX file explorer does. But perhaps files removed by some applications via some internal API are not being moved anywhere, they just get deleted completely and the only way to get them back is to use some recovery tool like Recuva. However there's no guarantee that they don't get rewritten before you turn off your phone and try to restore your files.... Well, you see, it's complicated

You never need to defrag Linux file systems. Never. Some simple Googling will give plenty of info why. Even the ancient and inefficient FAT file system does not need defragging when used on solid state memory, only for hard drives.

Now, fragmentation in Linux is *possible* in extreme cases, but in real-world use you never need give it a thought even if you use the same HD 24-7 for years.
