Default Can't Charge or Connect Via USB

My Tmobile Galaxy Exhibit 4G (SGH-T679), v2.3.6, will no longer charge or acknowledge a usb connection.

I recently rooted it. Now I don't know if this was simply from rooting, or if I disabled a dependent process.

Can anyone offer their expertise?

Did you load a custom ROM after you rooted or are you running the stock ROM? The rooting process will not effect the USB connection but a custom ROM could.

Have you also tried using a different USB cord. It could of broken between the time you loaded the custom rom.

You might also have to delete it from the USB profiles. Go get USBDView and remove the instances.
