So I bought my sister a tablet, nice gift huh? Anyway I spend a good bit of time setting it up, installing the apps she needs etc. This is the first Android device in this home, personally I'm not a fan of Tablets and I had an Iphone for christmas so I've been getting them ever since.

I tested the camera a bit, took some photos.. checked out the Gallery app where photos are stored and behold there is a folder to two of my computers in the Wifi network! I can't believe it, how can this be possible? All I did was link up the Wifi, what an exploit. I really don't want her browsing through my photos, not like I have porn or anything on there but I enjoyed my privacy.


Please help! How do I stop this?

What tablet do you have?
I may not know the answer but perhaps others in your tablet forum may know

Sounds to me like you have those folders set to public on your computers.

In that case, anyone on the WiFi can see them

My folders are set to public? shared folders are a headache, can someone remind me how to set them to private or homegroup only?

Did you upload the photos to your google account. If so, they may have been downloaded to the tablet if you signed on to google with it. That happened with my Sony Xperia U.
