Default RDC over VPN on Android Tablet

Hello.
My work just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet to help distribute work load. Thinking I would be able to connect to the VPN on the tablet and then download an app that would allow RDP over VPN was my mistake.

Our current server is running Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition and downloading on this computer is not allowed for security reasons. I was able to set up a VPN and connect but am unable to access the server computer through it with any RDP programs available on the tablet.

Has anyone successfully connected to a Win2003-Enterprise Edition computer on a server from a VPN over any android tablets? Any suggestions?

I by no means completely network savy but I'm not illiterate either.
