Default Yahoo mail gone??

hey all,
new to the Droid and have a problem, I get my emails on the P.C. and my Droid If I Delete the emails on the Droid they are also deleted on my P.C. I lost a bunch of mail when I cleared the Droid. The emails are in my trash folder on the P.C.
Can I fix this I don't need all the mail on my phone but I do need them on my computer.
Thanks,
Chris

Welcome Chris!
Although I don't use Yahoo email, perhaps it is similar to Gmail, where you can stop the sync for the email in settings? But stopping sync will also not allow you to get email to the phone also.

If you stop the sync for Yahoo, you can still get the e-mail on the phone by just opening the app and logging in. Check the settings in Yahoo also for keeping mail on the server even though you delete from the phone app.

FYI: the email app on your phone is just a front-end. The emails don't reside on your phone but in Yahoo's email cloud.
