Default Motorola Milestone - Android 2.1 Update - Phone Bricked?

Hi Guys,

I have recently tried to update my Motorola Milestone from Android version 2.0.1 to Android version 2.1 using the South East Asia version on this page: motorola_milestone:sbf [And Developers] . Originally it had the UK version of 2.0.1.

The update completed successfully however I get the following error when I try to book the phone up:

Bootloader
90.73
Err:a5,69,35,00,27
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Now that the phone is not working I have tried installing Android 2.0 and 2.0.1 listed on the above page for UK (as the phone came from the UK) however RSD Lite will no longer do the update – it detects that the phone is connected and I can select the update file however the "start" button does not become accessible.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Or does anyone know of any phone repair places that I can take the phone to? I am located in Melbourne, Australia.

Any help would be great!

Hi,

I have the SAME problem with RSD Lite. Your phone is not broken (I think), it is a problem with RSD Lite.

You need to flash using command line. I have made a batch file specifically for this process.

In the attachment is my batch file. Copy it and your SBFs to the RSD Lite folder and drag and drop the SBF you wish to flash onto the batch file.
