Default Does trashcan icon totally delete photos?

I took a picture of myself but then decided to delete it, because if my phone is lost or stolen, I don't want anyone to see it.

The pic as stored in my phone's memory, so I went into files/phone, found the pic, hilighted it, hit the trashcan icon, and it disappeared.

I just want to make sure there isn't a back up of this pic in a recycle bin or something similar that I don't know of. Thanks.

Data never really goes away unless the physical device that the data was on is completely destroyed. There are ways to extract deleted data, even after rewrites and formats.

For the most part, your pics are gone so if you are worried about someone off the street picking up your phone and viewing the photos, it's gone. Unless somebody had the technolgoical skill to extract the deleted data (i.e. law enforcement agencies).

Rabid, thanks. You answered my question.

Funky, you have to pretend not to imagine a partially nude pic of a woman you've never met? That's why women say "Men are pigs." I'll let you pretend I look like Jessica Alba, but really, I'm average-looking and 40 something. Nothing to see here, move along. Still, I don't want my pic passed around just because I forgot to lock my phone and someone dug up old files.

Make sure you don't sync automatically with Picasa, Flickr, etc, then.
