Default I need help please x

Im trying to change the ROM on my phone i dowloaded

I9505XXUBMGA-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL.tar

but when i flashed it using odin my phone wasnt rooted and it didnt seem to have changed anything so i restore my own backup. i thought id used the wrong one as there were 2 options on the developer site...one inder official and another under modified. i got help with it but they adviced me to download the one id alreasdy used...so im really confused, and it said it was pre rooted but my titanium wouldnt work as it ad not rooted.

i really need help please.

thanks in advance

What phone are you using and who is your carrier?

With that information we will move your question to the appropriate All-Things-Root sub-forum.

If you root and modify the phone by say removing a system app i think that stops updates
