Android Syncing with GoldMine

I am looking into switching somes sales reps over from Blackberry to HTC Evos on Sprint. We currently sync around 3,500 contacts out of a GoldMine CRM database using CompanionLink. Works great, but I have been told by CompanionLink that there may be a 1,500 contact limit when going to Android. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this issue?
