Hi,
I'm looking for a music player that allows me to browse music folders and play directly from that view (with fwd, rev, etc). Basically, Rockbox (or similar) for Android.
So far, all my app searches turned up empty. Any suggestions or tips?
TIA! -ts
Hi,
I released an app that you should like : Music Folder Player.
So it's a music player with file browser, and this is compatible with the standard player :
you can make a playlist with this app and control the music through the default player, a desktop widget or the locked screen of your phone (for HTC users).

The Following User Says Thank You to musicfolderplayer For This Useful Post:
I've been using MortPlayer, a "Simple to use music player for all those who prefer folder structure over tags." It's still in beta but awesome for those of us who organize our music in folders :P

check out mixzing. You can also specify which folders it looks at. ALSO includes automatic album art downloader, which is brilliant. Lovely UI, best music player on market.
props to Music Folder Player, saw this today is is a decent app.
Device(s): Soon a Motorola Milestone and when I get my hands on it the Nexus One, until then an Xperia X1

Meridian or MortPlayer (witch I prefer) are both capable of playing music via the directorys. From Mortplayer there is also a dedicated audiobookplayer app.
I was able to plug my samsung galaxy s into my computer and put music on, but now it does not let me. It does not recognize my phone at all. Did I lock it down somehow?
