Default best media player for long running podcasts

I listen to podcasts and recorded shows that can go on for several hours. I'm looking for a media player with a "skip to" function, so if I get interrupted, I don't have to fiddle with my finger on a slider to find the right section. I just enter "1:33" or whatever and the player goes to that location.
Neither the stock media player nor mixzing support that (that I can see).
I don't need full RSS support, automatic downloading, I just want a media player that I can skip to a particular spot in a track by specifying the time.
Any ideas?

I struggled with this exact problem yesterday. Argghh! I suspect most players were designed for three minute songs; music people usually don't mind just starting the song over.

Even a slider with more granularity would be welcome. Time selections like this were easier on Palm-type screens where you could select a spot with a stylus.

I use Doggcatcher for my podcasting needs. If I need to pause a podcast or jump to another podcast it saves my progress. For example, if I listen to podcast A for 5 mins and then pause it and go to podcast B I can come back to podcast A and it'll be at the 5 min mark.

I just use Listen. Pretty much because its free, not necessarily that its the best. But the 30 second skip forward button proves very useful for my 2 hour long Trance Around the World podcasts.

That's pretty cool, my second most desired feature would be that, or bookmarking, which is pretty darned close. Will doggcatcher let you skip ahead to some random point by entering in the time?

I don't think so, but you can press at different points in the progress bar. Not sure why you'd want to skip to a random point if it's saving your progress.

Mortplayer apparently does the "bookmark for every media file" trick.

Random access is good (for example) for skipping ahead in shows that have known structures. ie, the next 5mins will suck so jump ahead a bit. The progress bars on all the players I've tried do not allow fine enough control; I find myself slamming around in huge time increments no matter how carefully I aim. This is when 5way nav pads and similar really shine. Hold to FF; I'm thinking of players like TCPMP on the Palm and MS platforms.

Hapi Podcast will bring you back to the point you left off listening at if you leave or stop a podcast. It also has a skip forward button that can be customized (but only between 5 to 30 seconds per click), and you can slide on the progress bar to what ever point you like (but no way to enter a specific time to "go to").

Doggcatcher has a skip function and in the preferences you can set how far it skips each time. Setting is from 10 seconds (Default) to15.30.45.60.120 and 300 seconds.
