I just switch from an HTC with windows mobile where I used TCPMP as the video player. One thing I liked was the ability to increase the playback speed on the fly (watch a downloaded show in 2x speed for example). Is their a player compatible with my new Droid X phone that allows adjusting the playback speed of video on the fly?

"Astro Player Nova" or 'MortPlayer" can do this. Both are free in the Market.

What, neither of them controls speed, and Mortplayer is not even a video player.

I have been using Android for 2 months, still can not find a video player that can control speed like VLC player on Windows.

Android is such a fail platform.

Otherwise I will have to go back to iPhone 4S.

implayer+ hasnt been playing good with htc flyer. I tried yxplayer no pitch correction and too chipmunk like as the speed control is not fine (1x to 2x) and nothing inbetween

Yeah I know. Android tablet is really a fail. Can't wait for Windows 8 tablets.
