Default downloading unsupported content

I was able to download unsupported content (example: .exe files) to my blackberries. So far when trying to do so far on my moto Droid, it says download failed. Is this possible @ all??

Thanks in advance for any help!

Astro file-manager has an option to allow for any file type to be downloaded via your browser. I stumbled across that solution here (comment #8 in this thread) after encountering the same frustration myself:

Issue 2450 - android - Download any type of file - Project Hosting on Google Code

Download Crutch works exactly as described. I'd recommend it.

I have been able to save .exe files and such using the Dolphin Browser. I just today, downloaded winamp.exe and pdanet.exe files and saved them to the SD card.
